The Najoom® Vintage Cornet Mouthpiece

The "Najoom® Vintage Cornet Mouthpiece" incorporates a late 1960's '1' rim with a circa 1900 design cup and backbore. With a deep cup and a very large backbore, it has a creamy smooth sound. Although it is deep, it still has a strong core and a wonderful high register. It is distinctive in that it will fit new and antique cornets alike.

This new cornet mouthpiece incorporates the best aspects of today's cornet mouthpieces with the unique qualities of the old time cornet mouthpieces.

Dennis is a popular cornet soloist as well as an orchestral player, and has always had a soft spot for antique cornets. Knowing that cornet mouthpieces of the late 1800s and early 1900s were quite different from the ones you can buy today, he created a new cornet mouthpiece that incorporates the best aspects of today’s cornet mouthpieces with the unique qualities of the old time cornet mouthpieces.

Like all Najoom® mouthpieces, the Najoom® Vintage is made using state-of-the-art CNC lathes, ensuring that the shape of each is as close as possible to the original design. Each is hand inspected before being released for sale.
